Questions

Everything you need to know before your first appointment.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly without seeing your GP first. Some insurance plans require a referral for coverage — worth checking your policy before your first appointment.

How many sessions will I need?

Every injury is different. At your first appointment, I'll give you my honest read on what we're dealing with, what the recovery looks like, and how often I think you should come in. I'll fit that around your schedule and what makes sense for your situation.

Do you offer direct billing?

Yes. I direct bill to most major extended health insurance providers so you don't have to sort out reimbursement yourself. Check with your provider before your appointment, and I'll handle the rest.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Plan for about 45 to 60 minutes. We'll start with a full assessment — I ask a lot of questions, so come ready to talk. Then we'll get into some treatment in that same session. You'll leave knowing what's actually going on, what we're going to do about it, and what you can do at home in the meantime.

Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans cover physiotherapy. For details on what your plan covers, we recommend reaching out to your insurance provider. I offer direct billing to most major providers.

Will it hurt?

I'm going to push back on the "no pain, no gain" myth right here. Pushing through pain doesn't mean you're working harder — it usually just means your recovery takes longer. Some treatments involve mild discomfort, and I'll always tell you what to expect and check in throughout.

Still have questions?

The best way to get answers is to come in. Book an assessment and we'll figure it out together.
